STATEMENT OF FAITH:
The following is the statement of Faith of what we believe, teach and preach in the ministry of reconciliation the Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned unto us.
We believe that, the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is the Word of God, written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit; and that it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (11Timothy 3: 16 -17)
-
THE DIVINE TRINITY:
The Godhead consists of three persons in One, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinct persons, possessing recognizable personalities and qualities, perfectly united in one. “ Matthew 28: 19.” These three work together in Unity (John14: 26)
-
JESUS CHRIST:
He is God the Son; and that He was born of a Virgin Mary, was crucified and died, and was buried, and rose again in the third day. He ascended to heaven and is sat at the right Hand of God the Father, and from there He will come back again to judge the living and the dead.
-
He is the Messiah, the only mediator between God and man. (John1: 41)
-
He is the Savior of the world. (The mankind)
-
He shed His blood at the cross for the remission of our sins. (Hebrews 9:22)
-
He came to take away the sins of the world. (Jn 1:29)
-
He is the only way, the truth and the life. (Jn 14:6)
-
He has conquered death and destroyed sin the sting of death. (1Cor.15: 55-57)
-
He has destroyed the works of the devil. (Jn 3:8)
-
REPENTANCE OF SIN:
Which is a godly sorrow for sin with a renunciation of sin; by repenting ones sins and receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Thus turning to God and forsaking sin. (Mt. 4:17, Acts 2:38, 3:19)
-
THE HOLY SPIRIT:
He is the third person in the Trinity (Mt.28: 19)
He indwells the believers (Jn14: 17, 21 & 23)
He teaches, reproves, speaks, guides and prays for the believers (Jn 16:13, Rom8: 14)
He acts as a person; thus He can be lied, grieved, resisted, received and even known.
(Acts 5:3,7:51, Eph 4:30, Jn 14:17,20 & 22)
He sanctifies the believers. (Rom 15:16, 1Peter1: 1-2)
-
JUSTIFICATION AND REGENERATION:
Justification is an act of God’s grace, whereby one receives remission of sins and stands before God as though he had never sinned. (Jn 1:12,13, Rom 3:25-26; 5:12, Acts 13:39)
-
RESTITUTION:
One must have a conscience void of offense towards God and man. Restitution therefore includes restoring where one has defrauded, stolen, slandered, paying debts and making confession. (Luke19: 8-9)
-
SANCTIFICATION:
It is the act of God’s grace by which one is made holy. This is the second definite work performed by the blood of Jesus through faith, and is subsequent to salvation and regeneration. (Jn 17:15,17; Luke1: 74-75; Eph. 5:25 & 27)
-
WATER BAPTISM:
Baptism is by water (Immersion) in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, as our Lord Jesus commanded. (Mt. 28:19, Mt.3: 16; Acts 8:36-39)
-
THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST:
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the enduement of power for service from on High, upon the clean and sanctified life of a believer. (Mt.3: 11; Acts 1:5-8)
He gives Spiritual gifts to the believers, enabling them to do supernatural ministries as it becometh of the Body of Jesus Christ. (1Cor.12 & 14, Eph. 4:11)
For without the enabling of the Holy Spirit, one can do or achieve nothing for God.
-
DIVINE HEALING:
The divine healing of sicknesses and diseases is provided in the Atonement; “…With His stripes we are healed.”(Isaiah 53:5, 1Peter 2:24)
-
THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST:
The return of Jesus Christ will be just as literal as was His going away. (Acts 1: 9-11, Jn. 14:3, 1Thess. 4:16-18)
-
THE GREAT TRIBULATION:
The time between Christ’s coming for His Bride and His return in judgement, there will be the Great Tribulation, which is also called the time of Jacob’s Trouble. (Isaiah 26:20,21; Mt. 24:21,22 & 29; Rev. 9 & 16)
-
CHRIST’S MILLENNIAL REIGN:
The thousand – year literal reign of Jesus on earth will be ushered in by the coming of Jesus back to the earth with ten thousands of His saints at the close of the Great Tribulation. He will judge the nations that dwell upon the face of the earth. This time Satan will be bound for a thousand years. It will be a reign of peace and blessing.
-
THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT:
God will pronounce final judgement on the living and the dead according to their works. (Rev. 20:11-15)
-
THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH:
The Word of God teaches that, this earth, which has been polluted by sin, will pass away after the White Throne Judgement, and God will create a new heaven and a new earth in which the righteous will dwell. (Rev. 21:1-3)
-
ETERNAL HEAVEN AND ETERNAL EARTH:
The Bible teaches that hell is as eternal as heaven. The wicked will be cast into a burning hell, a lake of fire burning with brimstone forever and ever. (Mt.25: 41-46; Rev. 14:10-11)
-
MARRIAGE IS FOR LIFE:
The Word of God teaches that marriage is binding for life under the New Testament law, the Law of Christ; there is but one cause of separation,“Adultery” and no right to marry again while the first companion lives. (Mt. 5:31,32; Mark 10:6-12; Rom 7:2,3 & Luke 16:18)
The marital institution is a type of the union and marriage of Jesus Christ to His Church. (Eph. 5:22-23)
-
THE LORD’S SUPPER:
Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper that His followers might shew the lord’s death till He comes back. (Mt. 26:26-29; 1Cor. 11:23-34)
